Advisory Services

In addition to providing expert in-house advisory services, DATI will initiate and administer together with its partners, a trade and investment advisory council composed of diaspora, continental Africa, and international leaders in the private sector, civic, and governmental arenas. They will advise governments, civic organizations, international organizations, as well as the private sector on policies, strategies, and priorities that will further enable increased engagement of the global African Diaspora in trade and investment with the African continent.

Stakeholder Matchmaking and Collaboration

DATI has a growing network of diaspora and diaspora-related private-sector, entrepreneurial, civic, and governmental stakeholders, as well as their counterparts on the African continent with whom DATI seeks to connect and provide support in facilitating trade and investment deals through matchmaking and collaboration

DATI seeks to engage in the private sector diaspora and related organizations such as: Country-specific diaspora organizations, State, county, and municipal governments, HBCUs, African entrepreneurial, financial, and governmental organizations

Capacity Building

However, facilitating the sharing of trade and investment information is often insufficient to encourage the full potential for trade and investment between Africa and its global diaspora. Success often requires an understanding of how to engage in trade and attract investment – from process and products standards to investment financing.

Thus, DATI will undertake capacity building and technical assistance programs that enable both diaspora Africans and continental African entrepreneurs to more successfully trade and invest in sectors of mutual interest
